I've never owned a cell phone before but this one seems pretty easy to operate. I've talked to people while riding the bus and they said that they could hear me well (except when I tried the bluetooth headset) - one nice thing, they could hear me well, but others on the bus couldn't hear my caller. My friends commented that the phone seems to do a good job at filtering out background noise. The bluetooth headset works pretty well - when in a quieter setting - home or office.
The only two negatives I can say are: 1. You have to have the speaker lined up to your ear otherwise you'll end up not being able to hear your caller. 2. I found that when I carried the phone in my pocket, and it was squeezed just right, it was connecting to the web via Media-net. Fortunately the service is charged by how much data is downloaded so the bill shouldn't be too awful - I was able to deal with this by setting the keys to lock.
I couldn't find any reference in the manual to the speaker phone but it does have one and it works well so when you are in the car or home and don't want to hold the phone to your ear to talk, it works great.
Many of my friends have opted for the ultra-basic phones - just desiring that their primary need be met, but this phone covers that plus has so many more cool features. The fact that I'm getting paid to take it (after rebate) makes it even better! Taking picture of my friends to have a photo caller-id function is fun!

The Nokia 6102 cell phone is awesome! I have had it for only a few months, but so far have not had a problem. Nokia is great, and Cingular has some great and cheap plans to go with it. I highly recommend this phone to anyone who is looking for a cell with great reception, sleek design, long battery life, and durability. This phone, along with LetsTalk.com, made buying and owning a cell phone so easy.

I just got this Nokia 6102 cell phone and I absolutely love it! I've a lot of different brands of phones and Ive found that Nokia's tend to work the best! I would definitely recommend this phone to everyone, its not one of the most expensive but I think it works the best!

OK I've used LGs, Motorolas, Nokias, and Samsungs. Nokias are by far the best reception phones I've ever used. I've owned the Nokia 6102 phone for a few days and have experienced nothing but pure enjoyment. So let me shoot straight to the pros and cons (or lack thereof):
Pros:
* Brand: Its a Nokia, a major plus.
* Reception: Great call clarity and signal strength.
* Displays: Both internal and external displays are legible with vibrant colors.
* Menus: easy navigational system & very user-friendly.
* Camera: Great for those "Kodak" moments.
* FM Radio: very good, actually better than I expected on a phone.
* Voice Recorder: sweet add-on, who would have thunk it, :-)
* Audio Message: kudos for this one, great to send audio message rather than texting.
* EDGE: very fast web surfing on Cingular's Media Net.
* Loud Speaker: loud sounding speaker phone for hands-free communication.
And I'm sure I'm missing out on more pros, but if you need a mid-range phone, with great reception, with a speaker phone, VGA camera, audio messaging, FM radio reception, EDGE, and easy to navigate menus, then go out and cop this phone. The Nokia 6102 is so awesome.
Oh almost forgot the cons:
there aren't any........

I love my Nokia 6102. It was a bit hard to learn at first, but once you get it you will have no problems. Letstalk was great, and so friendly. Everyone who has seen my phone wants one. Takes fantastic pictures.

I love the Nokia 6102! It is the best phone ever! When I found out that Nokia had a flip phone I had to have it. It has everything that a struggling college student like me would want in a phone. I recommend this phone to anyone!

Lets talk and the Nokia 6102 are my new best friends. Lets talk gave me excellent service and quick processing and shipping, not to mention two free phones that together would have cost over 340 bucks. The Nokia 6102 is a little different then any of the previous Niki's I've had, but still isn't hard to learn the In's and outs of the phone and it's features. Call quality is great and I've had good to great reception everywhere I've been (however I've only had the phone and singulars service for a little over a day).
All in all LetsTalk is a great site to get good deals from and the Nokia 6102 is a great phone, I would recommend both any day of the week.

The Nokia 6102 would be a good phone, but it basically falls apart. Everyone I've known to have this phone (myself included) has had it fall apart on them. The outer plastic shell of the phone breaks almost as you pull it out of the case, thus creating a detachable antenna, that while in your pocket becomes detached, and you lose all service. I like the overall functionality of the phone, but it very poorly made, and I suggest staying away from it.
